In Namibia near the coast, is a set of deserted buildings now known as a ghost town called Kolmanskop. It was a diamond mine, with buildings for the workers. The size or the area hit it’s peak in the early 1920s and then in 1956 became abandoned. Now the old buildings (which are well preserved due to the dry climate), which still have paint and wallpaper, are being reclaimed by the sand dunes. Many of the interior photos have a haunting feeling.
